Help for residents
2Gaff is your building’s private app. It keeps you in touch with your building’s team and your neighbours: notices, events, shared spaces, a neighbours-only marketplace and a private way to report problems. Use it in the 2Gaff app on iPhone or Android, or at www.2gaff.com.
Join your building
- Get your building’s joining link, QR code or building code from your building’s team. It is often on a poster in the lobby.
- Open the link or scan the code, or open 2Gaff and choose Get started.
- Sign in with Google, Apple or your email address and a password.
- If you did not use a link, enter the building code and choose Find my building.
- Add your name and apartment and send your request. Your building’s team checks it against their records. You will see your building as soon as they approve you, and you get an alert in the app.
If the team needs a correction, the app shows their note and your request so you can fix it and send it again.
What you can do
- Notices. Read updates from your building’s team, such as water shut-offs or cleaning days. Urgent and important notices are marked.
- Events. See what is coming up and tap I’m going to save a place. Neighbours see how many people are going, not who.
- Book. Ask to use shared spaces such as a meeting room or a parking bay: pick a date and a time and send a request. Your property team confirms or declines it, and you get an alert either way. The time is held for you while you wait. If nobody answers before it starts, the request closes and nothing is booked. Your requests and bookings are listed under My bookings, with where each one is up to, and you can cancel them there.
- Market. Sell, give away or ask for things within your building. Add up to five photos, message a seller privately, and mark your item as sold or given away when you are done. No payments are taken in 2Gaff. If someone bothers you, use Report or Block on the listing or conversation. Blocking is quiet — they are not told — and you can undo it any time under Account → Blocked people.
- Reports. Tell your property team about a problem, add photos and follow their replies. Reports are private between you and your property team. When your property team marks a report resolved, you can confirm it is fixed or tell them it is still a problem.
- Inbox. Message your building’s team privately, and find your marketplace conversations in one place.
- Alerts. The bell shows updates about your requests, messages, bookings and reports.
Your privacy
Your name, apartment, reports and messages to your property team are private: only you and your property team can see them. Neighbours can see your marketplace posts, but they cannot look up your profile or apartment, and marketplace conversations show “Buyer” and “Seller” rather than names unless you share them. If someone bothers you, use Report or Block on the listing or conversation. Read more in the privacy policy.
Your account
- Change your name: Account → Edit name. Ask your building’s team to correct your apartment.
- People you blocked: Account → Blocked people, where you can unblock them.
- Moving out: Account → Leave this property. Your account stays, so you can join your next building.
- Delete your account: Account → Delete my account, then type DELETE. See what is deleted and kept.
- Report a person: Use Report on a marketplace listing or conversation, or Block to stop seeing and messaging each other. Manage this any time under Account → Blocked people.
